报告简介:

In Japan, we have investigated high pressure hydrogen technology, aiming at realization of hydrogen society where high pressure hydrogen is employed as carrier of energy management from various energy resources. A key technology is design and manufacture of high pressure vessels made by carbon fiber reinforced plastics (CFRP). Unfortunately, the design methodology of CFRP pressure vessels is not sophisticated. Long life reliability is ensured by proof test using actual products. It takes much time and mechanics of failure is out of discussion. So that, design change to cope with failure inevitably becomes trial and error. To improve this situation, we investigate simulation software, which performs accurate analyses of stress/strain in the framework of meso- and micr- mechanics. We can directly introduce non-linear fracture and curing behavior of resin in the simulation. I will present what we can do to improve design methodology of CFRP pressure vessel by utilizing High Performance Computational Simulation.

报告人简介:

Nobuhiro Yoshikawa received Doctor degree at the University of Tokyo in 1990. From 1992 to 1994, he was a lecturer in the Institute of Industrial Science, and then was promoted to associate professor. Since 2005 he has been a professor in The University of Tokyo. His main research top is developing methodology of structural safety and reliability analyses by means of finite element method, especially in the application of Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastics (CFRP).
